Cooking with a Solar Oven Could Possibly Save our Planet by …

I seem to be in the minority when it comes to believing that the global change in climate is due primarily to the sun’s relationship to the earth, sun spots, solar flares and the rotation variances of the earth’s orbit around the sun. There are actually more scientists who believe “global warming” or “climate change” is related to the sun, than there are “experts” who believe the cause is greenhouse gases.

Unfortunately, the few who hold that point of view are the ones in power. They are, effectively, suppressing the truth for the benefit of a few very powerful people who stand to make billions of dollars from this fraud, at the expense of average Americans. Many ignorant, uninformed Americans are becoming brainwashed by the liberal media that there is an increasing awareness of the need to take responsibility for the greenhouse gas emissions we create. They continue beating the warning drums about the dangerous levels of carbon dioxide released from burning fossil fuels like oil, coal, and gas as harmful to the environment.

Well, I have great news for those of you who believe this deception, also for those of you who do not. Using a solar oven can be an important step on the path towards you and your family becoming “carbon neutral,” or maybe even single-handedly saving our planet from self-annihilation. As an example, anything you cook in a conventional oven can be cooked in a sun oven in the same length of time, only with no energy cost or harm to the “fragile environment.” We are talking virtually a zero “carbon footprint.”

An electric oven takes 1½ hours and 5,110 watts of power to cook a 3 pound chicken that can be cooked in the same amount of time in a sun oven at no cost to you, that is, of course, unless this administration starts taxing the sun.

The New Oxford American Dictionary states: ” Being carbon neutral involves calculating your total climate-damaging carbon emissions, reducing them where possible, and then balancing your remaining emissions, often by purchasing a carbon offset, paying to plant new trees or investing in “green” technologies such as solar and wind power.” That is just peachy! What about people like us who live full time in a motor home? Plant a tree in a trailer and tow it behind… in case the environmental cops pull us over, he can see we are doing our part to keep this “fragile” planet green.

Reducing your carbon footprint can be fun when you turn your own back yard into a gourmet kitchen with a solar oven. You will be amazed at how the sun can transform ordinary foods into mouth-watering delights while curtailing your consumption of fossil fuels. It will send an important message to your friends and neighbors that you care about the environment, whether they do, or not.

The energy you waste when cooking indoors is more than what is burned on your stove top or in your oven. In the summer, additional energy is often required to cool down the rest of the house, which can get heated up by cooking in the kitchen. When you use the sun to bake, boil, or steam your food, the heat stays outdoors, saving energy costs while reducing your dreaded carbon footprint.
